Cosmetology

Cosmetology involves the study and practice of beauty treatments including hairstyling, nail care, skin care and makeup. A cosmetologist can choose to specialize in one or more of these areas. Fashion-forward, self-expressive students will be interested in our Cosmetology program, which will train them for licensing and employment in related fields. In this program, students will learn to apply and sharpen their technical and interpersonal skills. Instruction in human anatomy and physiology provides students with a deeper understanding of the scientific aspects of hair, skin, and nail care.

This two-year program allows students interested in the field of Cosmetology to complete their training by earning the 1500 hours required for a North Carolina Cosmetology license over the two years.
